I just got 33.4 MPG over a 50 mile drive today @ 75 MPH. My commute goes from 5,100' to 6,200'. It was near 100 deg today. Tonight, when it's cooler and I'm going the other direction, I should crack 40 MPG, no sweat. I am running the Race Chip tuner @ the E/2 setting. So far, it has been well worth it. Before the tune I was getting 31 MPG and 34 MPG, respectively. All of this was in Eco Pro. |
If you have a tuning box fitted the dash display will now be telling you fibs! The car thinks it's injecting a certain amount but the box is fooling the pump into injecting more.
You would need to work it out brim to brim to find out what it's really doing, I wound suspect just a little less than it was getting before you fitted the tuning box.
