The extended warranty is for the unknown. I say put the $$$ you would have spent on the warranty in the cookie jar and withdraw as needed for any covered repairs that you now have to pay for. I'll bet you come out ahead as needing a new engine or transmission is a rare item. On the other hand its certain you are going to need to do the maintenance. I have the 7yr/125000 mile plan which gets me 7 LOF's, 2 complete brake jobs, 2 sets of plugs, plus all the other filters, etc
