I did some quick research and it seems that it is illegal to tint the front windshield. Now, whether that actually stops people from doing it... Also, I have no problem with people doing it safely. It's just that I won't accept it as a solution to the problem since it is not legal.

In Arizona you can use and non-reflective tint as long as it sits above the manufacturer’s AS-1 line. Now what that means in less governmenty terms is you can have a visor strip on the front windshield.
