Totally understand where you're coming from but if it were me I would stick with the bimmer for a daily suv. The tech and layout is better than pretty much anything out there as an overall package and the engine and driving experience are top notch. Is the cayenne a better driver than X5? Sure. But i don't think it blows the X5 away and I don't think, as a daily, that it is so much better that it outweighs its shortcomings compared to the X5. Its a shame the G05 is taking you so long cuz to me it's tech is even better than the F15/85 and blows away what Porsche has to offer.
