From what I gather from the F30 guys, the various mfg'rs have the CarPlay side figured out. It's the Android Auto side that needs improvement. Still kind of bug ridden, AA software wise. Depends what camp you're in, I guess. Still I'd be curious to try it out. |
OK after having tried both units for a while now I can say that the andream unit is a LOT better than the joyeauto one. The andream:
– uses oem mic
– no phone call echo
– steering wheel Siri button works
– faster switch to/from idrive
– reverse cam stays on after switching to drive
I'd say the only thing I like more about joyeauto is that you can always change the song by moving the idrive knob left/right.
