If it was a wheel/tire balance issue then the vibration should still be present during coasting. Transfer case vibration seems to be a bit more finicky. From asking around it happens at both low and high speeds. There's a fuse you can pull that disables the transfer case. If you pull the fuse and the vibration goes away you know the transfer case is the issue.
