Our X5 has the 4-zone climate control. Issue for us is not with temperature but with volume as others have mentioned.
If the rear climate is off the AC works great in the front. If the AC is being utilized in the back via sync or individual control even at low fan speeds it completely starves the front vents of volume. I could have the front fan on max and rear on low and still barely get a trickle from the front vents.
Only way to return flow back to the front is to turn off the rear. Of course, dealership says there is nothing wrong.
