One of my greatest concerns with my recent, 12/16, purchase of a 15 50i w/ 17,700 miles, was the well documented history of oil addiction by many 4.4L twin turbo motors. With yearly 6500 miles oil changes by PO and now over 7000 miles since last change, I can report an oil level of slightly over 1/4 when checked on level ground, which is the same level at purchase.
I'm leaving for a 3000 mile road trip next week from NY to Fl. Will report back if steady 70-85 mph cruise induces consumption.
As for driving style, I usually keep up with the fastest groups on interstates and try to give the turbos a good spin on entrance ramps.
