You are not the first to make that mistake. Install instructions, with pictures, are here:

They are for a S63TU, but the intercoolers and sensors are in the same place. You can thank
r33_RGSport for creating that for us.
Also, this photo posted above clearly shows where the correct sensors are. I know it's not the exact same engine layout as yours, but again, the sensors are in the same location. The airbox absolutely has to be removed to access them.

Oops, I see you already have the instructions. I don't understand how you could use the wrong sensors if you followed the instructions.
