I damn sure hope something on a 60 to 90k plus BMW would not dare call a finish "pure wood" and not be real wood.. BMW wood is supposedly always real wood, so this should not be an exception. I'm sure it is still coated with something to protect it from scratches, so I would have to think they would do that in a way that looked and felt natural and premium... or so I would hope anyway.
We're getting a black interior so I'm not sure it would look as good against black as with one of the tans or browns. But it seems like a cool, different option. Tough chance to take without seeing and feeling it in person though, so I will probably chicken out too (that and because of the black interior).
