I'm located in the S.F. Bay Area and I checked pricing in both Northern and Southern California. My best price was at BMW of Mountain View who negotiated $1,500 over invoice (not including MACO which is $500 around here) for whatever options I wanted to order on a 35d. 35i's seem to be in higher demand here, so I'm not sure I could have negotiated the same deal for one of those. Mountain View had a production slot in 112 status, so we finalized the options, ordered on a Tuesday and the car was in production by Friday. BMW is saying that the car will be finished with production by 3/4, so I'm hoping I'll see the car in Northern California by the end of the month.
PM me if you want our CA's name, he was very professional in the way he handled this deal, so I could definitely recommend him for a purchase. This deal was much better than what I was seeing at the other dealers in the area, but thanks to this forum, I was sure that I could negotiate closer to the $1,000 to $1,500 range.
