Ceramic coating will keep the car looking cleaner, make it easier to wash, and will help to prevent swirl marks. That said, it's not magic - you still will need to wash the car to keep it clean and it can still get damaged by rock chips, etc.

I personally don't think that ceramic coatings are worth it on daily driven, normal mileage vehicles. I'd much rather spend money on a good protection film since that will actually prevent chips and physical damage to the paint.

Even without a ceramic coating, you can protect against swirl marks with good wash hygiene and most paint sealants are so easy to use that it's not a big deal to reapply every other wash or so if you want a deep shine.
