It's a good feeling to see that mpg creep up as you drive on a longer trip. I just completed 1200 miles on my way back from Greenville, SC - Hilton Head, NJ. On the trip from Greenville to Hilton Head (~240 mi) all I could get was about 31 mpg. After I got more miles on the clock the mpg seemed to improve. On the last leg of the trip from California Maryland (about 240 miles), to NJ I was able to easily get 35.6 mpg. From what I observed as the engine gets broken in the mpg improves.
