I know that the BMS N63tu stage 1 is a race tune so for racing you want the power higher up the rev range, however, on the street that is a different story.

I am just wondering if this is all in my head and that is why I was hoping someone had actually done a before and after test with actual figures.

I wonder if they re-mapped the fueling on the 2017, because I think the change between the 2014 and 2017 in stock is very apparent.

Then I read that BMW updated the N63tu engine to the N63tu2 and when you google that it mentions that they made the power/torque more available through more of the rev range.

So now I am wondering if the 2017 X50i actually comes with the N63tu2?

Any ideas?
In 2015, new changes in 8 speed ZF ratio with 1st gear with lower ratio and 8th gear for higher ratio so you have faster acceleration due to lower 1st gear ratio and actually better gas mileage while cruising at 8th gear.

Maybe that is why you feel that the 2017 X5 may feel faster than 2014.
