If you have same FA loaded in multiple locations (eg, Expert Mode > Coding, VCM, or Coding-Verification plus Viewers & Editors > FA-Editor), changes in FA-Editor or manually using text editor (ie Notepad++) may result in popups asking if you want to automatically reload FA with associated changes.
That does not have any affect on coding or VCM until changes are pushed through VO coding or VCM section, respectively.
EDIT: One option is to leave your FA factory by loading modified FA (Expert Mode > Coding> Vehicle Order) rather than writing changes to VCM.
