Good question. I just put my 21s back on after spending the last 4 months on the 20" OEM Winters. And driving around today I hit more than a few fairly gnarly bumps, but no damage. I've been lucky so far, but the 20s had more sidewall to give with so not sure how it's going to go with the 21s before they fix most of the potholes. I'm sure the milder winter helped things.
