Sunday afternoon update - minor cool spell continues - we hit 106F and I did a 45 minute run. AC was set on Auto mode initially @ 74F - X5 was getting too cold - bumped it up to 76F. Low fan speed and very comfortable.
I did try the MaxAC button for about 5 seconds - waaaay, waaaay too much air - more than needed.
I guess the only thing this may "prove" / suggest is that on the 2017 X5 35i there is not a vehicle wide design flaw. Granted, I am a sample of 1.
