Five hours spent in the 2015 X5 xDrive 35i this weekend, driving around in 95F-100F weather. Had to keep it on 67F to prevent my fingers from freezing. Sunroof was closed, including closing the cover. Windows are tinted 23% in the front, no tint on the windshield, rest of the car is 3% tinted. Car was parked OUTSIDE, all vents open.
I do have to say that once I had a 50i xDrive as a loaner and the A/C didn't work quite as well as my 35i did. So I do think there's different A/C designs or different A/C behavior based on year/model.
Are there components in our cars we can check to see if we're dealing with different A/C component brands? Be happy to look at mine...
