Another thing to consider...if you've ever thought about changing the color of your wheels, the same place that fixes the rash would also likely be able to provide powder coating services. I had all 4 wheels on my old M3 refinished and powder coated gunmetal grey for something like $350. Came out sick and I never had any problems with etching or chips on the wheels.
Thanks for all the help everyone! I was quoted $125 by my BMW dealer and then $200 from a local repair shop. Also considering changing the color now since!
