Alpina is already offering this engine in their XD3. I wouldn't be surprised if they offered it in a special diesel performance line-up. With the X5 50i and the X5M so close in acceleration, I'm thinking they'll scrap the 50i in favor of a souped-up diesel. With a 0-60 time in a little over 5 seconds, it would make sense, but then again you're talking about BMW.
