you do lose ground clearance though.

I installed some Romiks on my moms X5. The stock ones were getting down right dangerous. She's in her 70s and we can't afford a fall. The Romiks are so much safer for us. I made a video about how to remove the oem running boards if anyone is interested at https://youtu.be/ZjdItsfK__U
