So SA at bmw is telling me that the sensors from the wheels and tires I put on are for another car and cannot be reprogrammed. That doesn’t seem accurate to me.

Recap. I had squared 19” 467 rims with good year tires. I swapped them for staggered 20” 469 rims and continental tires. Bought the set complete with tires already mounted and sensors in the wheel so I just bolted on the new wheels and then tried to reset the TPMS and received a malfunction. New 469 wheels came from a CPO x5 of the same year as mine and sensors worked fine on that car.

Is it possible that that car used different type of sensors than my car of the same year uses? The car the wheels came from was an Sdrive and mine is an Xdrive. Would that matter?
