Just got my baby back. 4700 miles. Went back in for identical issue as before. This time: "Cause: movement between the brake disc and the wheel bearing hub...noise coming from front axel, found SIB (34 08 14), sanded and cleaned the hub surface of both front left and right brake discs, and cleaned hub surface on vehicle as per SIB (34 08 14). Reassembled and test drove vehicle, noise no longer present, system operates as designed, diag code (34 11 00 57 00)..."

Hope this is useful to some of you...

Best,
A.
Thanks so much for the info! The Service Manager confirmed I have the same issue. They're ordering the parts and will fix it next week. Thanks again!!

BMW is obviously aware of the problem, but they're not planning on issuing a recall, so I suggest that all X5M owners check to see if they have this problem.

I complained about the squealing brakes, and they said it's just the way ///M brakes are.
