All X5 option packages in Canada include soft close doors. Since I have small kids I find this option extremely useful - they can't always close the doors well.

I'v heard about doors popping open in the US bit Canada says they have never had a reported case (don't know how true this is).

I am worried about the doors popping open and feel if I wait for it to happen knowing there was a bulletin it would be partially my fault.

Does anyone know if this has been fixed for 2016 MY and if not should I just ask the dealer to apply the SIB?
