The looks of the vehicle are clearly subjective and I wouldn't begin to begrudge you your opinion. But "big"? Of course it is big. BMW also has the X1 and X3 series to capture those market segments. I don't know what dimensions the X5 should have given the sizes of the X1 and X3. If the vehicle is larger than your needs then you should shop for smaller suvs from BMW or other manufacturers. The same principle holds for the 7-series,5-series,3-series and 1-series.
