Ok maybe a slight humming sound at 2k rpm which I didn't like at first but putting it in sports mode solves it (crusing at ~2.3k rpm seemed to solve the problem). But now I either got used to it or the exhaust has "broken in", I drive on the highway in comfort mode without being bothered by the exhaust.

That's good to know BMW didn't make it unbearable under load as it ruins the whole reason to keep it a family cruiser
