Bmw is going to be installing a new gearbox which they saw it was "leaking" in their service dept. never leaked in my garage so idk but it's going in and hopefully I will see it next weekend 28th March

Just an update. Came back to the states a few hours ago. First stop was BMW NW, X5 was lifted with its transmission removed.
The new transmission was sitting next to the old one and they told me it came in Friday afternoon. So hopefully it will be done by Monday or Tuesday
