Engine Malfunction F15 50i

Okay, so I'm really pissed off about BMW and their N63 engine.

I used to own a '11 F10 50i. I sold it in January 2015 to a close friend of mine and replaced it with a brand new F15 50i. Two months later my friend had his N63 engine replaced, because it malfunctioned.

Now, a year and a half later the same thing happened to my F15. It currently has its engine replaced. It's only 18 months old and has just 24,000km on it (<15k miles). I have taken at least 5,000km to break in the engine. I have not driven the car in excessive RPM. The car has always stayed in my garage, which is cool in the summer and warm in the winter. I only fill in the most expensive fuel we have here.

So basically my doubt here is - should I change the engine for my next BMW? I love big V8's, but I cannot bare the fact that every couple of months I need to have my engine replaced. Or should I do like everybody else and buy an MB '63 instead?

Sincerely disappointed BMW fan.
