UPDATE:
The Stereo is definitely Bang & Olufsen
The "emulator" is from Bimmerretrofit.com
Bimmerretrofit.com is no longer existing so obviously I cannot receive help from them.
someone recommended I remove the emulator from bimmerretrofit.com and when I did that the stereo started working again but the navigation does not work.
Basically, I think i'm looking for a part to replace the little black box from bimmerretrofit.com. On the box it says "eNBT Retrofit Adapter" and "evo navi" is checked off.
