I did forget to add a key piece of information.
Prior to the DM failure, the X5 has had to go to the dealer service for roughly 10 days, not consecutively, for a few other random issues it was having up until last Tuesday, that’s 53 total days plus however long the new problems will take. But since I have a loaner and other toys in the garage, I am not going to lose sleep over it being in the shop for longer than normal!
