Stewy604 - yes I think the design is a bit flawed; it's very flimsy. I broke it when I tried to open it to clip the belt. The spring is strong so you have to pull hard to open it but gentle enough not to open it too far. Last week I nearly snapped the left side off too. I'm not sure if it's worth replacing.

There are diagrams with instructions on how to remove through Rheingold ISTA+. If dealer cannot replace.
