Replacement bumper
So despite having more sensors and cameras than you can count, my parking garage managed to back my 5 month old X5 into a column at something in excess of 15mph. It's pretty beat up.
I just heard from the repair shop that the bumper is on back order and needs to be shipped from Germany. I was kind of surprised given the car is manufactured in South Carolina. I wouldn't have been so surprised if it was a mechanical or an interior piece that is shared with other models, but a bumper seems like something that would be made locally. Does anyone know if that's a part that really does need to come from Germany?
