BMW is ONLY doing this, and not giving the F15 a standard BMW LCI (facelift), because the all new Mercedes GLE is coming out, and this is BMW's #1 competitor. Porsche Cayenne will be all new too, another direct X5 competitor! BMW knew it could not have the F15 soldier on 2 more years, with Mercedes launching a brand new, modern and tech laden all new model.
Sad though, I hope German cars do not now try and fully change models every 5 years, or even 3-4 like other companies!
