The bit im struggling with is finding the correct trim piece with the USB socket attached to it. I'm okay with the connections to the NBT2 headunit. The part ive located is item 16 in the diagram below
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=51_9158
Part no. 51459389628
I've priced this up with bmw and they advised £22.72 which suggests it wont have the usb port attached to it. Can anyone help identifying the correct part number needed for the panel and the USB port. The alternative is to fit the USB port to the glovebox but i would prefer the centre console option.

This part doesn't exist on us Bmw part sites. Where did you source it from?

Finally found both parts on getbmwparts and ordered them. The trim piece didn't show up cuz it was for RHD vehicles. Ordered them both and will be adding myself a second charging port in a couple weeks
Usb socket: 84-10-9-237-656
Lower trim with slot for USB port: 51-45-9-389-629

Ok so it would seem the part number for the usb socket is wrong. I'm guess it's the part that goes into the center console and not designed to fit in the new lower trim. So back to the investigation. Weird thing is the part number is from the guy who already did it. Soooo ya confused.
The part also doesn't come with the cable that connects to the back of the head unit too
