Got it installed two weeks ago. Dealer had some trouble since it was one of the first done, but it's working great. They were adamant that I get another key even though I wanted to just use my spare, but in the end I relent and guess in the end you technically still only have two keys since the third is sealed up with Betalink.

Even though it only takes five minutes to get warm air from my cars these days, it's very nice to walk out to a nice warm car instead of freezing for those five minutes. I expect this will be very useful when it snows and I can warm the car up while removing the snow without having to clear the door first.

BTW the key fob range is quite good. I can remote start when getting dressed without seeing the car by using the remote and when I'm outside it's warmed up.

Breakdown price is:
$525 for Remote Engine Start system
$65 for Betalink K2
$300 for another key (inclusive of programming)
3 hours labor (so whatever they charge for labor)

They offered me BMW CCA discount... which has already paid for itself over and over again.

Total was around $1350 inclusive of tax and discount.



I imagine in the summertime it would be nice to walk into a chilled car so fun all year round.
