I got a ceramic Idrive controller from an ebay auction to retroft in my F06 LCI model. It is the newer version with the COM button instead of the radio one. This is the actual picture:

What makes me suspicious that the KNOB may have been swapped and placed on a NON-ceramic controller is the fact that the lower ring/part is SILVER and not ceramic as is the case on the older Idrive controller models I know. I have not seen the latest one LIVE or have not paid attention in detail when looking at cars featuring this.
As the mentioned part number originally comes from F15, F16, F85 and F86 cars, I would like you people owners of these models (featuring the newer version of the controller) to honestly tell me if this looks exactly the same as you have in your car! Or even better if someone can forward here a picture in case it looks any different.
