One thing to note is that the 8 screws around the shifter are not the same size. The 4 screws holding down the silver piece around the shifter are T20, but the 4 screws holding down the actual shifter are T25. Someone above said they stripped one of them; this is probably why (using T20 driver on a T25 screw).
