I need oil every 5000 miles or so again 40 miles daily, 90% inner city. So I guess there is a huge variation.
Also for those getting regular oil changes, you may get oil topped off at the dealer during the oil change, some dealers are proactive about it. Others don't care to check wiper fluid and oil status.
