Found this on an older post in another forum giving 2 reasons why you cannot get a remote start from BMW: "First reason: The car is German and in Germany, it is illegal to idle a vehicle for longer than 20 seconds and unattended for any time at all. Second reason: Remote start is by definition "inefficient." If flys in the face of "BMW Efficient Dynamics" which is about saving fuel, so no provision is made for remote start."
