Repair it. Don't buy that manufacturer telling you to not repair it a RFT.
If the damage is not on the sidewall, you are good to patch.
It is not like you are going to go 100mph+ everyday with that tire where the inner threads of the tire will start falling apart. By the time you do 100mph+ for the x time, you may got pulled over already and spending money for the ticket and spend time in the jail while your car being towed, that's if you didn't hurt anyone.
