This is on the dealership service maintenance papers:

"FAULTS 14001, 140010, 140701, 140710 FOR CYLINDER 7 MISFIRE PRESENT. REMOVED IGNITION COIL 7 AND SPARK PLUGS. FOUND SPARK PLUG DRY AND SLIGHTLY FOULED."

In search for answers, I came across this from a Google search:

"The most likely cause is worn valve guide seals and/or guides, but worn rings and cylinders can also allow oil to enter the combustion chamber. Replacing the spark plug will temporarily cure the misfire problem, but, until the oil consumption problem is fixed, the engine will continue to foul plugs."

I know the 50i eats up oil like no other. Is there a relationship between this and spark plugs drying up?
