I seem to be one of the few who is pleasantly surprised by the fuel consumption.
I've done almost 4'000 km and average is 8.3. On a run at average over 100km/hr I got 7.5l/100km and thats in a M50d. My old E70 3.0d averaged 10.5 and never below 9 even on an easy run. I even took a photo as I was so surprised.
The only thought is my dealer told me the quality of diesel makes a huge difference and he advised to stick to premium brands.
