I hate them. I hate the drawings the tv show, the damn name, the damn annoying way trees are drawn, i hate their house, i hate the town here that has claimed them as their tourist thing, i hate my city library for having those damn white hippos on display, i can't stand the translations and i can keep on telling more of these!
It is a completely irrational hatred towards them. I'm pretty sure no moomins have ever done anything bad to me, but even if my kids friends have moomin crap on, i end up hating the friend. One of my dear friends found himself a girlfriend who likes moomin coffee mugs so i haven't seen my friend in five years. There is no reasoning with this all consuming hate.
The worst part is that those books are quite good and the writer is the hero of all women in Finland. I still can't stand them at all.
I need coffee (we finns are the biggest consumers of the black gold in the world!). Clearly i am missing a filter.
