Everything is reading fine now that it's done but wondering if this is normal or did my wheels dealer include some non oem sensors which is why it took longer to read....

That is the thing with the new VDO TPMS. It takes longer to detect and sync all of the information to the car, unlike the older Beru/Huf version that BMW stop using.
