Keif, we've experienced the exact opposite in our 'll X5d with 20" The fronts wore extraordinarily evenly, the rears nearly so (center of the tire wore slightly faster, but it's what you'd expect with a tire that wide with centrifugal force and all). Note that we are running non-runflats (Michelin Sport Pilots), in a pretty even mix of freeway & city. I think we got nearly 30~35k on the first set, and we're over that for the second set and don't yet need to replace.
