I looked at them briefly as I thought (and still think) the 2014 model was a great looking SUV.

Sitting in the showroom was fine, the seats were well supportive, and interior felt and looked well put together...maybe not BMW/Mercedes level, but nice overall. That's where the positives ended.

I test drove a Summit with the 5.7 Hemi (not the SRT8, as I can't justify spending that kind of money on a Chrysler product) and within the first 50 feet was severely disappointed by the lack of refinement and driving pleasure. The power was lacking, the shifts rough and delayed, overall it felt like I was driving lumber wagon. I would have been happy turning around at the first stoplight, it was that bad.

They seem to be selling well, as I see the 2014s all over the place now, but the people who buy them are probably not looking at the X5, M-class, or Q7.

In the end, I was really bummed as I really wanted to like it.
