I can relate to what he is saying, the only serious issues I have had were on cars that were CPO's, whereas I have had good luck with used cars from private sellers. It just comes down to the luck of the draw.
All he is saying is that CPO doesn't give you immunity from something going wrong and when considering a CPO you have to be just as diligent as you would be if the car wasn't CPO.
