As for the price of the exhaust, consider buying it at a dealer that quotes 3.0 for labor at $110 per, then add in 9.85% tax. Your $1350 exhaust is now $1900. You're right that double was an off-the-cuff overestimation. But $1350 or so uninstalled is only part of the story.
