I have 2015 x5 5.0 and had the same malfunction warning right after oil change service. The message went away after 24 hours...
Dealership wanted us to return to update the software / recall? The car has been in the shop for 2 days due to failed update. Unfortunately wife was chatting with SA so not 100% clear what's going on. Anyone else with similar issues?
