When I placed my order back in July, I considered waiting for a 2016. The dealer, back then, knew that the 2016 diesel's were going to be delayed at least until the end of 2015 due to a change in the engine to run a higher percent of bio-diesel. Not sure why the VW issue really has any effect on BMW's diesels considering they passed the testing that VW failed.

I picked up my X5d in July and currently have 6800 miles on the odometer. I love the fact that I fill up the tank and I don't see the pump again for almost 2 weeks, where before I was at the gas station twice a week.
